Leonard Olympian of the Week

Congratulations to our Olympian!

He was chosen because:

• He is a bucket filler and very nice.
• He notices when others need help and helps them or comforts them.
• He is a bucket filler because he is helpful and nice.
• He earns paws throughout the school.
• He helped me pick up my papers.
• He is an active participant in class always using the word "because".
• He is a positive person and a hard worker.

AR Reading Goals

Students have been working hard during Independent Reading!
They are reading books at their level and monitoring their comprehension while completing reading strategy tasks. Please make sure your child is also reading at home. The October 300 minute reading calendar is due on Friday, November 1st.  Students also have until Friday, November 1st to meet their AR reading goals. We can't believe the end of the first quarter is just a week away!

Student Teaching Reflection

This year I have grown more than I could have ever imagined. At the beginning of the semester I focused on building a strong relationship with each one of my students. This really paid of during my student teaching because students felt comfortable to openly discuss their academic and personal struggles with me. I also have developed a strong comfort level and connection with the 4th grade curriculum. At first I really had to immerse myself in the content and learn it myself. After I did this, I really enjoyed teaching the concepts and material.I want to thank all of my family and friends who supported me along the way! I could not have done it with you :)
